Past Events

From educational presentations and field trips to social gatherings and conservation efforts, our past events have brought together herpetologists, enthusiasts, and members of the community to share their knowledge and passion for these incredible creatures.

We have covered a wide range of topics, including species-specific talks, field trips to local habitats, hands-on workshops, and community outreach programs. We strive to make our events engaging and informative for participants of all ages and backgrounds.

Monthly Meetings

We host monthly meetings that are open to members and non-members alike, and offer a great opportunity to learn, connect, and have fun with other reptile and amphibian enthusiasts.

Our meetings feature a variety of guest speakers, including hobbyists, breeders, researchers, and other experts in the field. They share their knowledge and experience with us on a range of topics related to the care, breeding, and conservation of reptiles and amphibians.

Meetings are held one Saturday a month at the Arden-Dimmick Library in Sacramento, CA. Please follow us on social media, or check the HOME PAGE of our website to see when the next event is!

Reptile Expos, Community Events, and Classrooms!

We are excited to participate in local events, where we can share our passion for these animals with the community.

Participating in events in our community is an important part of our mission to promote the conservation and welfare of these fascinating creatures. We believe that by educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership and conservation efforts, we can help ensure a bright future for these amazing animals.

Thank you for your support of the Northern California Herpetological Society and our efforts to promote the well-being of reptiles and amphibians. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
