NCHS Longest foster finds forever home
We are thrilled to announce that Isabella, NCHS' longest foster animal, Isabella, has just found her forever home with adopter Erin and family. Although she is prone to fasting, she has maintained a healthy weight for the five years she was in foster care with us and ate very heartily just before leaving for her new home.
Having owned ball pythons in the past, her new owners have extensive experience with the species and are familiar with the trials and tribulations of finicky ball pythons and not intimidated by the prospect of her fasting now and again. We are very excited for Isabella and wish her and her many happy years together with her new family! Erin shared this photo of Isabella feeling right at home in her new enclosure: |

Zeus the Argus Monitor Moves to the Denver ZooZeus, a large Argus monitor, who was rescued by NCHS in January 2017, has been placed at the Denver Zoo. He was advertised on Listserv, a service that lists animals available for transfer, and the zoo contacted Kathy Pierce, the NCHS foster parent of Zeus. After 8 months, Zeus was placed on a plane and flew to Denver on September 6, 2017! He caused quite a stir at the United desk.
