Meet "Mister"- African Spurred Tortoise (Sulcata)

Looking for a unique, friendly, and surprisingly personable new family member? Meet Mister, a magnificent 17-year-old male African sulcata tortoise. Weighing in at approximately 30 lbs, Mister is only a teenager. These magnificent tortoises average between 100 and 150 lbs. However, some can reach over 200 lbs. Mister is incredibly sweet and sociable, with a charming habit of coming when he's called. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like walking through his sprinkler on a hot day. His favorite snacks include roses, echeveria, cactus, and hibiscus, making him a great companion for a garden enthusiast. Sulcata tortoises require a dedicated and knowledgeable owner. These tortoises do not brumate (hibernate) therefore requiring a heated house for the colder months. Due to their size, they need a secure outdoor habitat that's spacious and well-maintained. If you have the space and are ready for the long-term commitment of caring for this amazing animal, Mister would be a wonderful addition to your home. If you'd like to learn more about Mister and see if he's the right fit for your family, please reach out to Mel at [email protected] You can also fill out an application on our website at www.norcalherp.com
