Welcome to the Northern California Herpetological Society!
*Thank you to Isaac Chellman for our March meeting talk "Conservation and Management of Rana sierra in the Northern Sierra Nevada." Isaac Chellman is currently the High Mountain Lakes Environmental Scientist focusing on Sierra Nevada Yellow-legged Frog conservation and management for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The meeting was a success and quite informative for all members and guests!
*Thank you to Diana Munoz, Darlene Collisson, and everyone who went to and participated in California Duck Days this year. Duck Days is an annual waterfowl, wetland, and wildlife festival hosted by the Yolo Basin Foundation. The event includes local tours about waterfowl, raptors, rice farming, and more. On site activities include many family friendly activities from holding duckling, dipping for insects in the pond, fishing for trout, dissecting owl pellets, to learning about waterfowl, building duck boxes, making Tule duck decoys and seeing a Bird Dog in action. Can't wait to see you there next year!
